build a strong and thriving client base amongst many of the worlds largest
corporations including the U.S. Department of Justice, U.S. Department of
Defense, U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency, WM-data, Cap Gemini Ernst & Young,
Cisco, Telia and Ericsson. Research
firm Gartner for the second year have judged Pointsec as the
"Leader" in their magic quadrant in the field of mobile data
protection placing them as the top vendor for performance, with "a clear
vision of market direction, actively building competencies to sustain their
leadership position in the market." Pointsec
are also known for their PicturePIN technology for PDAs which replaces
passwords with a sequence of graphic symbols that appear on the login screen.
Users far prefer this picture-based login style as it is much easier to
remember and far more user-friendly for mobile devices with small screens and
hard-to-use mini-keyboards. Pointsec's patent pending picture-based password
technology (PicturePIN) makes the product unique in the marketplace. To

. As the Düsseldorf office opens this month, Pointsec will have ready for customer delivery their new Pocket PC 2.0. Pointsec for Pocket PC is aimed at the Microsoft Pocket PC 2002 operating systems, and allows users for the first time to enjoy automatic, real-time encryption of all data on their PDAs using Microsoft Outlook E-mail, Calendar, Contacts, Notes, Pocket Word and more. There is no longer any excuse for avoiding security software on PDAs - something that used to make them an easy target for hackers. Once installed from a central location, the user will not be able to circumvent the security. (ma) Pointsec
