Enters IP SAN Market With SANRAD V-Switch Certification (18.09.03)

InfoStation Fibre" and SCSI storage enclosures and "SANRAD iSCSI V

(Internet Small Computer Systems Interface) continues to expand in popularity
as a storage technology for deploying robust IP SANs (Storage Area Networks)
for small, medium, and large businesses. SANs built using iSCSI take
advantage of relatively inexpensive Ethernet adapters and switches for
transferring data, and thus can provide a more cost effective and
easier-to-manage alternative to traditional Fibre Channel (FC)-based SANs. The
SANRAD iSCSI V Switch is a multi-protocol solution that operates in the
center of an IP SAN, between the InfoStation enclosures (SCSI or FC) and
hosts connecting to the V Switch using iSCSI over TCP/IP. The V-Switch provides
protocol conversion, storage pooling and provisioning, volume management,
multi-pathing, security, real-time mirroring and high-availability. The
StorCase InfoStation offers an ideal complement to the iSCSI V-Switch by
providing a robust, high-availability RAID enclosure with either Fibre or
SCSI interfaces for attaching to the V-Switch storage ports. The InfoStation
also provides dual interfaces, allowing support for V-Switch clustering,
