Live Communications Server And Sharepoint 2003 Against Virus, Spam And Other Malicious Code

(17.11.03) - Sybari Software, Inc., developers of messaging and collaboration security solutions, presented their new range of products at IT Forum this year. Sybari's "Antigen 7.5 for Exchange 2003", "Antigen 7.5 for Live Communications Server" and "Antigen 7.5 for Sharepoint 2003" have been designed to fully integrate with Microsoft servers, filtering content and protecting against virus, spam and other malicious code.

Sybari had joined by Microsoft's Ken Ewert - Lead Program Manager for Microsoft Exchange Server - for a "Chalk & Talk" presentation on security in messaging environments at the Forum entitled "Blended Threats, Blended Defence". Sybari had also chaired a round table on Instant Messaging with an expert on Instant Messaging, Hewlett Packard's Kieran McCorry, Principal Consultant in HP CI's Enterprise Microsoft Services Team, both speakers had shared their expert knowledge on these burning issues.

Antigen's multiple scan engine manager, running up to six leading independent scan engine technologies, is available for all Antigen scan jobs and allows administrators to customize and configure a variety of settings and options at each level. Antigen includes two robust content management features: Antigen File Filtering (AFF) and Content Management message filtering by sender, domain, and subject line. AFF enables administrators to proactively filter e-mail based on several filters including attachment filename, wildcards, file type, and file size. Content Management filters allow administrators to filter messages based on subject line content and/or the Sender/Domain. Antigen also includes "Antigen Worm Purge", a proactive safeguard tool that allows network administrators to prevent the overload of virus-generated messages churned out when worm viruses are unleashed in an environment. Worm Purge deletes messages containing worm viruses in their entirety and prevents new worm threats from spreading. (ma)
