2004: "Ozone" is a Host Intrusion Prevention System That Protects
Windows Server (26.04.04) - Security Architects announces that it will be launching its new security software product, "Ozone", during Infosecurity Europe, vom 27. - 29. April 2004, Olympia, London, Stand 789.
The past few years has seen a sharp rise in the number of reported
vulnerabilities and worms. According to Microsoft, the computer worm Blaster
was single-handedly responsible for successfully infecting over 8 million
machines around the world.

reactive security products such as anti-viruses and Intrusion Detection
Systems (IDS) use a database of existing attacks to protect computer systems.
As numerous new vulnerabilities emerge on a daily basis, these databases are
rendered obsolete even before they become available. Ozone is
a Host Intrusion Prevention System (HIPS) that protects Windows server and
client machines from malicious attacks and computer worms such as Blaster,
MyDoom and Witty. Once installed, Ozone acts as an invisible layer of
protection that cannot be seen, but without which networks and computer
systems remain vulnerable. Just as the Earth's ozone layer protects living organisms from harmful ultraviolet radiation, Security Architects' new product, Ozone, protects systems and networks from harmful computer attacks. Ozone's multiple rings of protection stop both known and unknown worms before they can enter computer networks and systems. Unlike reactive security products, Ozone does not rely on constantly updating signatures in order to keep up with the latest security threats.
