Networking World: Conference Program Published Themes
This Year Include IP Storage, Storage Network Management, SAN Security and
Standards (05.08.04) - Expert speakers from the world's storage networking industry will gather in Frankfurt for Storage Networking World (SNW) 2004 on 7 and 8 September. Organised by the Storage Networking Industry Association Europe (SNIA), delegates attending this year's conference will be able to choose a wide range of technology and solution tracks in addition to hearing keynote sessions by industry leaders, major end users, IDC and the SNIA. The conference themes this year include business continuity, security, IP storage and storage area network (SAN) management. A unique blend of industry tutorials and end user case studies, the conference programme consists of seven individual tracks, or breakout sessions, allowing visitors to learn more about the industry and how today's solutions such as SAN, NAS, ILM, and iSCSI can help deliver a competitive advantage.

·
"Back up at the edge: data protection for PCs and stranded
servers" - EDS "SNW Europe 2003 was a resounding success, but we are challenging ourselves this year by extending the conference programme and tackling a number of timely industry topics, i.e. how ROI is effecting today's purchasing process," commented Paul Talbut, chairman of SNIA Europe. "The storage networking industry has evolved exponentially during the last 12 months and users cannot always keep pace. SNW 2004's programme will tackle this through a combination of theory and practice, and will focus on training and education." The two day conference tracks will be complemented by one of Europe's largest solutions centre demonstrations hosted live at the Frankfurt venue which will focus on multiprotocol SAN deployment, standards based SAN and storage management and a variety of storage applications The Solutions Centre will feature live and interactive links to SNIA's own multivendor labs in the United States and a purpose built demonstration facility being hosted at IBM's technology centre in Mainz, Germany. The Solutions Centre will enable conference delegates to experience first hand how the storage industry can cooperate in building multivendor networked storage solutions that address real customer needs. About SNW Europe 2004 SNW is
the leading global event series focused on the continued rapid growth and
implementation of storage networking, data management, architecture,
infrastructure and data centre technologies. SNW Europe will also be
showcasing a unique Solutions Centre focused on SMI-S solutions. The event is
the only European conference to be endorsed by the Storage Networking
Industry Association. About SNIA Europe SNIA
Europe is an active association of vendors, channel partners and end users
who share a common interest in promoting the use of networked storage (and
other associated aspects of information storage) within the IT community in
Europe. SNIA Europe is vendor neutral and inclusive of channel partners and
end users of the technologies and solutions. (ma) Storage
