Active Administrator 4.0 is a management and auditing solution that enables administrators to efficiently manage Active Directory Security, Recovery and Group Policy in Windows 2000 and 2003-based networks. Among the major new features, the solution now includes the remarkable Object-Level Backup and Restore feature, which allows IT administrators to recover from accidental deletions and changes to Active Directory objects such as users, computers, groups or even entire Organisational Units.

The Best of Microsoft Tech Ed 2005 Europe Awards are given to companies who deliver innovative products and services that enhance and extend the capabilities of the Microsoft platform. Organisations are evaluated on their solution's strategic importance in the market, competitive advantage and value to the customer. After naming finalists prior to the show, judges from Windows IT Pro Magazine and SQL Server Magazine made final selections by interviewing the different companies and viewing product demonstrations during the week of the conference.

Active Administrator is just one of many ScriptLogic solutions that enable IT professionals to meet security and compliance requirements. ScriptLogic’s solutions, such as Desktop Authority and Enterprise Security Reporter, allow administrators to enforce desktop and server security, while also increasing productivity of the administrator and end-user.
