Winners were announced during a special evening awards reception held on July 7, 2005 during the Microsoft Tech Ed 2005 Europe Conference in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

Active Administrator 4.0 is a management and auditing solution that enables administrators to efficiently manage Active Directory Security, Recovery and Group Policy in Windows 2000 and 2003-based networks. Among the major new features, the solution now includes the remarkable Object-Level Backup and Restore feature, which allows IT administrators to recover from accidental deletions and changes to Active Directory objects such as users, computers, groups or even entire Organisational Units.
