"Companies
currently gain substantial B2B and B2C benefits by using social networking
sites to uplift sales and promote their products and services. Yet, as
phishers target Facebook users, secure access to these sites is a must-have
on the security front," said David Lavenda, WorkLight's vice president
of marketing and strategy. Lavenda's
comments follow in the wake of weekend reports that hackers are specifically
targeting Facebook users with phishing emails, as well as messages posted to
members' walls, in a bid to route users to forged login pages. According
to industry experts, this latest campaigns utilizes a very specific attack
methodology, using multiple IP addresses that auto-rotate every three minutes
or so. "More
than anything, it highlights the need for enterprises to use a secure Web 2.0
access solution to prevent their staff, partners and customers from falling
victim to this type of fraud." Lavenda noted. For more
