Firewall Operations, Auditing and Compliance Product and Security Change Automation Product

"TSS 5.2" Increases the Benefits of Security Lifecycle Management

(25.10.10) - Tufin Technologies, a provider of Security Lifecycle Management solutions, announced version 5.2 of its "Tufin Security Suite" (TSS) - the combined offering of "SecureTrack", its firewall operations, auditing and compliance product and "SecureChange Workflow", its security change automation product. Featuring new network topology intelligence, multi-tenancy management, total support for Juniper Networks "JunOS" firewalls, enhanced Fortinet support, and automatic change verification, version 5.2 enables organizations to automate network security policy and change management at a much greater depth and breadth. These specialized solutions enable strategic IT partners to increase their service offerings and value-add to enterprise customers. More detail on TSS 5.2 for MSSPs can be found in a concurrent announcement issued today by Tufin.

Tufin's install base of 600 customers report that TSS deployment cut the time and cost of firewall operations and compliance by more than half, resulting in a return on investment in under six months. By further automating risk and change management, Tufin extends additional time and cost savings to areas that are either still highly manual in nature or have only baseline automation, enabling organizations to reap dramatic, quantifiable efficiency gains.

Key enhancements to TSS 5.2 include:

·         Network Topology Intelligence: TSS automatically discovers an organization’s firewall topology and provides security administrators with a dynamic, visual map. The map identifies network zones located behind firewall and router interfaces, and enhances the automation and efficiency of core features including access requests, risk analysis, and audit and compliance reporting.

·         Rule Recertification: To further streamline compliance management and reporting, TSS now provides the ability to document each rule, identify technical and business owners and indicate an expiration date for recertification or removal.

·         Full Support for Juniper JunOS SRX and Fortinet Fortigate: Tufin offers the most comprehensive support for the SRX/J-Series firewalls including real-time policy retrieval, policy analysis, audits and compliance reports. Complete feature support for Fortigate products includes change accountability and comprehensive rule and object usage analysis.

·         Enterprise Multi-Tenancy: Building off of Tufin’s robust distributed architecture, TSS 5.2 allows large enterprises to manage separate business units or datacenters from a central console with complete administration separation governed by robust role-based administration rights.

·         Executive Change Management Dashboard: TSS’s Executive Change Management Dashboard enables managers, administrators and users to instantly assess the status of security change operations in SecureChange Workflow. The dashboard features intuitive graphical widgets such as ticket status, SLA status, ticket load per administrator, and more.

·         Automatic Change Verification: TSS 5.2 analyzes each completed change ticket to automatically verify whether the request was handled successfully. Automatic verification speeds request processing and minimizes the need to re-open tickets.

·         SLA Tracking: With Service Level Agreement (SLA) support, organizations can improve their security process management while supporting organizational service management initiatives. SLA data can be viewed through the executive CM dashboard and in detailed reports. When a task does not meet its SLA, configurable alerts or escalation processes are activated. SLA tracking integrates seamlessly with external help desk systems including BMC Remedy.

·         Topology Analysis for the Policy Change Advisor: Integrating Topology Analysis with the Policy Change Advisor automatically identifies precisely which firewalls and routers are relevant to any access request. It then uses sophisticated policy analysis to determine which rules and objects must be modified in order to support the change, saving time and eliminating the need for administrators to remember the network topology as it evolves.

"With this version of Tufin Security Suite, we built on top of our core technical strengths - a highly scalable, distributed architecture, top-notch management capabilities and automation powerful enough to counter the increasing complexity of our customers’ network environments and extended those benefits to our customers’ strategic outsourcing partners - MSSPs,” said Shaul Efraim, Tufin’s Vice President of Products, Marketing and Business Development. "Whether deepening the depth and breadth of functional support, as we did for the Fortinet and Juniper JunOS platforms, or enabling new delivery models, such as enabling MSSPs to offer Security Lifecycle Management as a service, our goal was to deliver these enhancements in the hallmark Tufin fashion - with a focus on innovation, ease-of-use, and an unmatched customer experience."
